Within 30 days after the defense, the applicant provides the document package to the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation.

• Inventory of HAC;
• Title of the case;
• Cover letter to HAC;
• Cover letter on sending to the Centre of information technologies and systems of executive authorities of the electronic version of the thesis research;
• Cover letter on sending of the printed copy of the thesis to the Russian State library for eternal storage;
• Registration form of a foreign citizen;
• Reviews of the official opponents and the external reviewer and reviews of the extended abstract of dissertation. ;
• The inventory of case of the DC ;
• Transcript of the meeting of the Dissertation Council.

Within 9 months, the HAC considers the materials and makes the decision on awarding or not awarding the academic degree

After obtaining the diploma of the HAC of the Russian Federation on awarding the academic degree of the candidate of science to the RUDN postgraduate, the Department of post-graduate professional education gives the graduate the diploma of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University).
