An applicant is to have the diploma of specialist degree/master degree or the postgraduate diploma (in case of having training in a postgraduate study). If an applicant had no training in postgraduate study, it is necessary for a foreign citizen to register as a trainee at the relevant department for writing a thesis research for no less than1 year.
1 year of traineeship:
within 10 months at least 60% the text of the thesis is to be written
within 9 months one is to get the certificate of passing the candidate examinations
within 8 months 100% of the thesis is to be written. The thesis has to be checked for anti-plagiarism
within 7 months one is to have at least 3 published articles in the journals from the List of HAC (The Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation) on the subject of the thesis research.
within 6 months one is to pass the pre-defense of the thesis at the department where the work was performed. One is to collect the necessary documents required for submitting to the Dissertation Council
