Research Laboratory “Nonlinear and Nonlocal Problems for Partial Differential Equations and Applications”

The laboratory’s work is aimed at developing qualitative research methods for nonlinear and nonlocal equations. The laboratory was opened thanks to the victory in the megagrant of the national project “Science and Universities”. The team of S. M. Nikol’skii Mathematical Institute of RUDN University, led by S. B. Kuksin, a leading scientist in the field of partial differential equations and their applications to mathematical physics, received support.

Research Center for Mechanics and Control Processes

The Center conducts fundamental and applied research in mechanics and control processes for complex technical systems. It also develops software and mathematical systems for the design of information technology systems for various purposes using big data processing methods, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.

Research Center for Future Wireless Networks Modeling and Simulation

The Center conducts research aimed at improving and developing the network infrastructure. The research is carried out on real equipment, which makes it possible to more accurately assess the effectiveness and applicability of the results in real conditions.

Scientific center of nonlinear problems of mathematical physics

The center is a structural subdivision of the S.M. Nikol’skii Mathematical Institute specializes in the field of mathematical physics.

Interdisciplinary center for Mathematical modelling in Biomedicine

Mathematical modelling in biomedicine is one of rapidly developing scientific disciplines motivated by the fundamental research and by the applications to public health.

Research Center for Applied Probability & Stochastic Analysis

The Center focuses on solving practical problems in the development of mathematical models for quality evaluation of the functioning of Internet of Things infrastructure within conditions of device dynamic relocation. The studies conducted by the Center lie at the junction of probability theory, mathematical statistics, and queuing theory.

Research Center for Computational Methods in Applied Mathematics

The main research goal is the improvement of applied computational methods for solving problems in mathematical physics, probability and statistics theory.

Research Center for High-Tech Systems and Infocommunication Modeling of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Telecommunications

The Center's activities aim to solve practical problems of fifth-generation (5G) wireless networks in terms of user applications. The work is conducted as part of the research project "Research and development of models and methods for design, analysis and calculation of wireless networks”. - The Center conducts studies on 5G wireless heterogeneous networks in relation to the motion patterns of subscribers. - The Center develops models of radio resource management mechanisms of various types in 5G wireless heterogeneous networks. - The Center is developing analytical approaches to the probabilistic–time characteristics of 5G wireless heterogeneous networks under a dynamic random variation of the signal-to-interference ratio.

Research Center for Wireless 5G Networks Simulation

Research and development of the scientific foundations and a complex of stochastic models to evaluate the effectiveness and reliability of devices interconnection in wireless networks of the Internet of Things.
