This is the main success of the year in my scientific field: the young scientist of RUDN University Alena Devyaterikova is the owner of the medal of the Russian Academy of Education
Alena Devyaterikova won in the nomination “For scientific achievements in the field of practical psychological and pedagogical activity.” She also received a special prize — the opportunity to tell the widest possible audience about her developments using the media resources of the Social Navigator project.
“The Russian Academy of Education medal is the main success of the year in my scientific field. In 2016, I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of Moscow State University with a degree in Clinical Psychology and got a job at the Rogachev Center. There I realized that the topic of rehabilitation of children after oncology has been little studied. The main goal until recently was to help the child simply survive. Survival prognosis for children in remission was poor. However, thanks to modern domestic approaches to the treatment of oncology, the situation has improved significantly — the survival rate is now reaching the average life expectancy. Therefore, we as scientists are faced with the task of integrating recovered children into life so that they can fully learn and develop. At the Research Institute of Brain Development of RUDN University, we help in rehabilitation after oncology. Children come to us from all over Russia. As for my plans, I will publish scientific articles. And, of course, I would like to start working on my doctoral dissertation,” said Alena Devyaterikova.
Ceremony of awarding the laureates of the competition for young scientists of the Russian Academy of Education.
“Supporting the initiatives and undertakings of young scientists is one of the priority tasks of the Russian Academy of Education. It is important for us that they are more actively involved in the work of scientific centers and laboratories, regional centers of the Academy. Now we have created all the conditions for the implementation of youth projects. Therefore, this year we have introduced two new nominations that allow young professionals with practical experience working at a school, college or university to try their hand,” Olga Vasilyeva, President of the Russian Academy of Education, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education.
Every year, RUDN University hosts a competition of student scientific works “Common Start: Let’s Do Science Together.” The university provides scholarships for projects of young scientists and student associations. All developments are practice-oriented and have the potential for further commercialization.
