Resource Saving Technologies

Development of new and improvement of existing technologies for waste processing

There are known technologies for processing biological waste to produce biogas and fertilizers. However, in the fertilizers obtained, substances such as antibiotics and pesticides are preserved, which are involved in the circulation process and fall into the vegetables grown on these fertilizers. Biotechnology preprocessing biological waste can destroy these harmful substances, preventing the production of hazardous food. The use of biotechnologies for the processing of cellulose-containing wastes makes it possible to obtain many valuable products from them, for example, glucose. This area also includes research of existing technologies and assessment of environmental and economic efficiency of emerging new technologies and technical devices. These studies allow us to suggest improvements in technological processes at enterprises, leading to tangible savings of resources and energy.
