Regulations for the admission of foreign citizens to fee-paying programs
Documentation requirements
Documents of foreign candidates must be translated into Russian and notarized.
The foreign citizen’s passport, on which a foreign citizen will cross the border of the Russian Federation, must be valid minimum 18 months from the validity date of the entry study visa. If there is a residence permit or other documents permitting the temporary stay of a foreign citizen in the territory of a third state (other than the citizenship of a foreign citizen), this document must also be submitted in the prescribed manner with a notarized translation into Russian.
List of required documents for the initial consideration of candidates by RUDN University Admissions Committee:
- A completed RUDN University application form with a color photograph.
- Copies of education documents indicating the subjects studied and the grades (points). If a foreign citizen applying for educational programs of secondary vocational or higher education, due to the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in a foreign country, does not have a document on foreign education and (or) foreign qualification, he\she can present a document containing information on the results of the last certification issued to a foreign citizen by an educational organization in which he studies in the territory of the host country.
- Copies of the pages of the passport, on which a foreign citizen will cross the border of the Russian Federation, with a validity period of at least 18 months from the date of validity of the study visa (readable pages containing the data for issuing an invitation).
List of required documents to be provided by the applicant upon arrival in Russia:
- Original documents on education indicating the subjects studied and the grades (points). Education documents have to be translated into Russian. Depending on the country, education documents must be legalized. Legalization of documents is carried out before arrival at RUDN University in the country where the education document was issued. Check whether you need documents legalization and the type of legalization (apostille or consular legalization) with the staff of the Department for Recruiting and Accompanying Foreign Students or on the website: nic.gov.ru (information in Russian) or nic.gov.ru/en (in English).
- A medical report on the absence of contraindications for studying in the Russian Federation, issued by the official body of the candidate’s country of residence with a duly certified translation into Russian.
- Medical certificate confirming the absence of HIV and AIDS, issued by an official body of the candidate’s country of residence with a duly certified translation into Russian.
- Copies of the pages of the passport, on which a foreign citizen will cross the border of the Russian Federation with a notarized or consular translation into Russian. The validity of the passport must be at least 18 months from the date of commencement of the entry study visa.
- Copies of documents (diplomas and certificates of winners of international and national (municipal and other) competitions and Olympiads.
Memo for students studying at RUDN University on a contract basis
- The contract is signed by the applicant in all cases, regardless of whether he has reached the age of majority or not. If the applicant has not reached the age of majority at the time of the conclusion of the training contract, the contract is signed by both the applicant and his legal representative (parent or guardian). In this case the conclusion of the contract requires the presence of the student himself and his legal representative. They should have identification documents with them (civil passport or military ID). If the legal representative cannot be present at the signing of the contract, he (the legal representative) may entrust the right to sign the contract to a third individual who has reached the age of majority. In this case, the latter should have an appropriate power of attorney for the right to act on behalf of the legal representative when signing the contract. The power of attorney is issued in the notary’s office in the prescribed manner.
- The first payment under the Agreement is made within 10 calendar days from the date of conclusion of this Agreement on the basis of an invoice issued upon conclusion of the Agreement. In case of violation of the payment terms, the contract may be terminated by the decision of the University. Payment for further education is made by the Student in advance payments in a non-cash form twice a year in equal installments for each academic semester on the basis of an invoice. The invoice has limited duration. If the invoice expires, it must be reissued. In case of delay in payments under the agreement, the University has the right to charge penalties. The terms of payment for tuition are specified in the student’s contract.
- When paying, keep in mind that banks charge a commission fee — from 0.5 to 3% of the payment amount. For the bank employees to correctly issue the payment documents, the invoice form issued to you contains a sample of filling out the payment order. Please draw the attention of bank employees to this document.
- Invoices for tuition fees are given at the request of the Student or his legal representative, and can also be transmitted, upon request, by facsimile.
- The invoice can be issued both in the name of the Student and in the name of another individual or legal entity.
- The enrollment order is issued only after the receipt of funds to the settlement account of the University.
- The contract is given to the Student at his request at RUDN Multiservice Center after it is signed by the University and registered. The approximate date of handing out is 30 calendar days after its conclusion during the admission campaign, at other times — 15 calendar days.
