Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance

It is a federal executive body which performs functions of control and surveillance in animal health, veterinary drug circulation, quarantine and plant protection, compliance with Pesticide Control Act; ensuring soil fertility, quality and safety of grain, cereals, mixed feed and components for their production, by-products of grain processing, land relations (in terms of agricultural land), the function of protecting the population from diseases common to humans and animals.
