Institute of Biochemical Physics named after N.M. Emanuel, RAS (IBCP RAS) was created on the basis of the Department of Kinetics of Chemical and Biological Processes of the Institute of Chemical Physics named after N.N. Semenov and the Institute of Nutrients, RAS by Decree of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences No. 227 of 13 December 1994 to develop fundamental studies of the physical nature of chemical processes in biological and molecularly organized chemical systems.
