JSC “Tactical Missiles Corporation”

Tactical Missiles Corporation (TMC) was established as part of the implementation of the federal target program "Reforming and Development of the Military-Industrial Complex (2002-2006)" and in compliance with the decree of the president of the Russian Federation No. 84 of 24.01.2002.
The Corporation as an integrated structure was formed by the transformation of the federal state unitary enterprise "State Research and Production Center "Zvezda-Strela" (Korolev) into a joint-stock company "Tactical Missiles Corporation" and the transfer of shares in a number of enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex to its authorized capital. The registration of the corporation was completed in March 2003.
The strategic goal of the creation of TMC was the preservation and development of the scientific and production potential of rocket engineering, ensuring the defense capability of the state, mobilizing resources to create highly effective guided missiles and air-, land-, sea-based weapons systems, strengthening Russia's position at the global arms market.
