Metropol Hotel
Metropol was one of the first and most famous hotels in Russia, opened in 1905 in Moscow by the owner of Russia's first private opera, Savva Mamontov, as a theater with a hotel. Mamontov attracted to the project architect William Walcott, artists Mikhail Vrubel, Nikolai Andreev and many others. In the center of Moscow, opposite the Bolshoi Theatre, there’s the Palace of Arts - with a grandiose, three-thousand-seat opera house, art galleries, a grand hotel and a first-class restaurant.
