State Unitary Enterprise of Moscow “Lenin Moscow Order of Lenin and Order of the Red Banner of Labor Metro” (“Moscow Metro”) is the basis of the transport system of the Russian capital. It connects the city center with industrial and residential areas. Today, the share of the Moscow Metro in the transportation of passengers among the enterprises of urban passenger transport in the capital is about 56%. The radial-ring structure of the metro reproduces the historical layout of Moscow. Metro lines stretch from the city center to its outskirts, providing passengers with reliable and fast transport. The average range of one trip is about 14.5 kilometers. On average, 9 million passengers use metro services on weekdays.
