It was created in 1991 in the structure of VTsIOM, then headed by Tatyana Zaslavskaya, as an independent public organization with the aim of attracting funds of charitable foundations to the center. In mid-1992, the Foundation withdrew from the VTsIOM; and remaining in the status of an independent non-profit organization, it became one of the leading sociological organizations in Russia, carrying out a large volume of custom and proprietary research using a wide range of survey methods.
History of cooperation:
Since 2017 cooperation has been conducted in the field of organizing practice for students of the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of RUDN University.
