A landscape architect is a specialist who is able to landscape any open green space. Landscape art is not only park construction, but also formation of open spaces in cities and other populated areas based on a thorough study of the landscape. Mastering modern methods of organizing urban space will allow graduates to design areas of a comfortable urban environment with the introduction of “green infrastructure” for favorable living conditions in cities.
Educational Process
The program consists of 240 credits and includes lectures, seminars and lab works, several types of internships. The program lasts 4 years and 6 months.
The training program includes basic and professional courses, including optional disciplines.
Leading researchers, practitioners, representatives of large Russian and foreign landscape bureaus, heads of government agencies are involved in teaching.
Practice
The main principle of the educational program is practice orientation.
In the process of learning, students receive not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills in landscape design, gardening art, monitoring the state and accounting of plantings, managing systems of green areas in natural and urban landscapes.
Students of “Landscape Architecture” direction actively take part and become prize-winners in various Russian and international conferences, forums, festivals, round tables, professional competitions.
