One of the modern specialties is the profession of an engineer for standardization and metrology in the field of evaluation and quality control of manufactured and sold products, development and application of regulatory and methodological documents, product conformity assessment with Russian and international standards requirements.
The standardization and metrology engineer determines the product quality requirements, methods and means of metrological control and testing; performs work on product conformity assessment and certification, develops technical documentation, implements international quality and safety management systems at the enterprise, develops modern methods of product research.

Educational Process

The program is oriented for 240 credits and includes lectures, practical and laboratory classes, several types of practices. The program is implemented within four years of study.
The training course includes a set of basic and professional disciplines, including disciplines at student's option.
Leading researchers, practitioners, representatives of large Russian and foreign companies in the field of quality and safety of products and industries, heads of government agencies are involved in teaching.


In process of training the students receive theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of standardization, certification, conformity assessment of products, ensuring the uniformity of measurements, development of modern quality and safety management systems.
Students of the direction “Standardization and Metrology” participate actively and become prize-winners in various Russian and international conferences, forums, festivals, round tables, professional competitions.
