Profession

An economist is a specialist who is able not only to assess the current financial and economic condition of an enterprise, but also to develop a plan for its development. An economist solves problems related to the planning, organization and analysis of the economic activity of the enterprise, checks the accounting and financial reports, performs technical and economic work on planning, logistics, sales, calculates material and labor costs. Studying modern management methods and principles will allow graduates to make strategic plans for the enterprise development, form budgets and assess risks.

Educational Process

The program is designed for 120 credits and includes lectures, practical classes, several types of practices; the program is implemented during 2.5 years. Students have been immersed in the specialty since the first year of educational process. Main courses are macroeconomics (advanced level); microeconomics (advanced level); pricing; enterprise economics; foreign economic activity of agricultural enterprises; foreign language; securities valuation; economics of real estate market; fundamentals of real estate legislation; real estate valuation; business valuation. Studying the courses, students learn to analyze the financial and economic activities of enterprises, to form strategies for the development of an enterprise or its divisions, to evaluate business and its elements, to carry out business planning at agricultural enterprises, to develop regulatory documents. The implementation of the program is provided by scientific and pedagogical personnel who have basic specialized education and are systematically engaged in scientific and methodological activities. Lectures, master classes, conferences are regularly held by invited well-known scientists and practitioners.

Practice

The knowledge gained in the classrooms is added by the acquisition of practical skills. The practice contributes to the comprehensive formation of universal, general professional and professional competencies of students. Students of “Real estate Economics in the agro-industrial complex” program are interning in the Association of Consulting and Expert Organizations “National Union of Expert Organizations”, in the All-Russian public Organization “Russian Professorial Assembly”,

Career

The field of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the program includes economic, financial, marketing and analytical services of firms of various forms of ownership of the agro-industrial complex; state and municipal authorities; academic and departmental research organizations in the agro-industrial complex.
