Our students obtain a profession in the field of advertising that is in demand on the labor market, they work in one of the fastest growing business segments. Graduates of our programme are not just ready for classic advertising activities, they master modern tools for effective communications in different fields, including digital environment.
Modern advertising is
— unique education of a universal range, which gives the opportunity to try and work in a variety of areas — from creativity to the management of serious communication projects;
— an in-demand profession with a high social status, creative potential and a worthy material remuneration;
— systemic knowledge and skills not only in the field of PR, but also in a wide range of marketing communications, without which modern business cannot develop.
While doing this master’s course students acquire skills in managing communication projects in various business areas, in state and public structures,they explore technologies for assessing the effectiveness of advertising activities, information management in social media and other digital communications.
During their study the students are involved in practical professional activities, which is an important feature of this educational programme.
Firstly, academic disciplines are taught by teachers — practitioners, specialists known in the advertising field of Russia.
Secondly, practice is an integral element of studying both in the classroom and in the framework of educational and project, on-the-job, research and pre-graduation internships, which take place in communication agencies, communication departments in Russian and foreign companies and the media, as well as in public authorities.
Thirdly, our students can take part in creative and professional Russian and international competitions.
Fourthly, our partners in the advertising field invite our students to take part in professional projects as trainees.
Students can choose a specific set of courses, it allows them to build an individual educational trajectory.
The peculiarity of this programme is that the students must learn two foreign languages:
- English, as it is the main working language in international communication agencies; — the language of the student's choice (it can be German, French, Italian, Spanish or Chinese).
On a long-term basis, cooperation has been established with companies in which our students undergo internships and further find interesting work.
Students and graduates have the opportunity to join the team of the largest Russian and international communication agencies. These are such communication groups and companies as ARK GROUP, ADV, Action, Affect, Progression, digital agencies Artox Media and Traffic Isobar; network groups of agencies Grey Russia, Ogilvy Group Russia, LeoBurnett, Y&R , BBDO; advertising holding MediaArts Group; the leader of the souvenir segment advertising group Admos; the leading operator of outdoor advertising Gallery, etc.
The department also cooperates with customers of communication services, so students have the opportunity to get practice and employment in the communication departments of the Moscow City Government, companies Yandex, RBC, VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus, Bentley Motors, OUTDOOR Media magazine, etc.
Long-term cooperation connects the programme with professional organizations: the Russian Association of Communication Agencies, the Russian Association of Public Relations, the Russian Association of Marketing Services, the Association of Directors of Communications and Corporate Media of Russia, the Association of Creative Directors ACDR , the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Association of Fundraisers, the National Association of Experts on Business Ethics, Etiquette and Protocol, etc. Representatives of these authoritative bodies hold master classes at RUDN University and involve students in their professional events.
During the study under the programme, it is possible to participate in the following foreign internships:
- in France, you can attend one of the most famous advertising festivals in the world – Cannes Lions (Cannes Lions) (Cannes, France);
- in Latvia, you can study at the European School of Video Mastery, which is held by the Higher School of Business, Arts and Technology RISEBA (Riga, Latvia);
- in London you can attend the Advertising Week (London, UK), etc.
A graduate of the master’s programme is the future head of the advertiser’s communication department, the advertising agency department, the advertising divisions of the media. A modern specialist can develop brand communications, engage in research or develop communication strategies for promoting the company's goods and services.
