A graduate of the program is able to organize work on modeling and forecasting processes in the environment and economy and manage the relevant department of the company. The professional activity of a master’s degree specialist in the field of management involves working in the positions of middle and senior managers in large national and international corporations, state institutions. The field of activity of the manager-analyst includes analysis of various aspects of the company's activities, strategy development, formation of effective information systems, construction of mathematical models, development of forecasts to improve the efficiency of business decisions, planning of the company's activities in the main areas taking into account the uncertainty factor, management of environmental and economic risks.


Educational Process

The program is aimed at training specialists in the field of mathematical modeling of economic processes and ecosystems. Studying at the master’s program “Modeling and forecasting of processes in ecology and economics”, the student will learn:
— solve current management problems using modern mathematical methods;
— develop mathematical models and analyze them when solving professional problems;
— use modern equipment and software in your professional field;
— combine and adapt existing technologies to solve problems in the field of professional activity;
— apply scientific achievements to predict the results of activities, quantitative and qualitative assessment of the consequences of decisions made.

Practice

Practical skills of professional activity are formed in the course of practical training. The program provides two types of practice:
1) research work, which includes conducting scientific research, preparing scientific publications, participating in conferences, writing a master’s thesis;
2) pre-graduate practice, the result of which is the development of key types of professional activities necessary for the work of a manager.
The bases of practical training are enterprises of various forms of ownership, state authorities.
