Conformity Assessment of Product Quality and Safety

Profession

The Master’s program is one of the few practice-oriented programs aimed at training in-demand personnel who are able to apply modern methods of research (testing) and measurements for the purpose of evaluating the quality and safety of products, as well as recognized best international practices that ensure both the safety of products manufactured on the Russian market and the competitiveness of domestic products abroad.
The educational program is aimed at training highly qualified scientific personnel capable of performing the following types of labor functions that ensure confidence in the results of product conformity assessment:
— develop and apply in practice the requirements of standardization, certification and ensuring the uniformity of measurements;
— ensure the necessary efficiency of measurement reliability assurance systems, including in the event of adverse external influences, and plan for continuous improvement of these systems;
— ensure the fulfillment of tasks for the development of new, revision and harmonization of existing technical regulations, standards and other documents on technical regulation, standardization, certification, metrological support and quality management;
— ensure the fulfillment of tasks for the development of new, revision and harmonization of existing technical regulations, standards and other documents on technical regulation, standardization, certification, metrological support and quality management;
— develop procedures for the implementation of the conformity assessment process.

Educational Process

The main purpose of the educational program “Conformity assessment of product quality and safety” is the formation of universal, general professional and professional competencies, the development of skills for their implementation in practice, in accordance with the requirements of professional standards that allow graduates to successfully work in a certain field of activity and contribute to their demand in the labor market.
The educational program is developed in accordance with the current requests of Russian business (including manufacturers and manufacturers of products, including products supplied for export, sellers, persons authorized by foreign manufacturers), state bodies authorized to perform functions for state registration of products and control over the circulation of products on the market, as well as persons accredited in the national accreditation system as testing laboratories (centers), product certification bodies and inspection bodies.
As a result of mastering the master’s program “Conformity assessment of product quality and safety”, the graduate receives in-depth fundamental and professional training and is capable of innovative research and production and technological activities in related fields of science and higher education.

— Basics of accreditation in the national accreditation system
— International systems of standardization and conformity assessment

— Analysis of the quality of measurement and control processes
The master’s program is planned to be implemented with the involvement of the resources of the Federal Autonomous Institution “National Institute of Accreditation” (FAA NIA).
