Educational Process

The joint programme offers a special opportunity to pursue studies at two prestigious universities in Uzbekistan and Russia. Initially, first-year admission and training from the first to the third years are carried out at Tashkent State Dental Institute (TSDI). Then students move to Moscow and focus on mastering clinical courses during the fourth to sixth years at the Institute of Medicine of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University). Training is carried out in advanced medical institutions (clinical bases), at patient’s bedside, in outpatient appointments, and in diagnostic and preventive departments.

At “General Medicine” great attention is given to internships. In their junior years, students undertake sanitary internship, nursing internship, and internship in caring for patients of various categories. These internships take place in medical institutions located in Tashkent. Upon entering the 4th year at Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia in Moscow, students take an internship as a doctor’s assistant in various fields, including general practice, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and outpatient care. RUDN clinical training bases are provided by leading medical institutions of Moscow region including Moscow Health Department institutions, the Ministry of Health of Moscow region institutions and federal medical institutions (clinical and scientific centers).

After graduation from the University, the graduate gets a diploma in the speciality “General Medicine”. Further, the graduate passes the state primary accreditation to work as a local general practitioner or apply for a residency training course. RUDN diploma in medicine has been highly esteemed both in Russia and abroad for many years, and RUDN graduate students work successfully in our country and in all countries and continents.
