The main aim of the Bachelor’s “Marketing” programme is to train qualified and in-demand professionals in the field of marketing, competent to deal professionally with major marketing tasks in Russian and international companies and organisations.
The professional field of marketing covers a wide range of managerial processes aimed at effective interaction with customers and clients. This includes product and assortment management; branding, associated with the maintenance and development of corporate and product brands; participation in a wide range of tasks related to the promotion of goods and services; sales and advertising arrangement; development of loyalty programmes. Finally, it is marketing analytics, including marketing research, comprehensive market assessments, and the development of recommendations for new marketing projects. The professional competencies of ” Marketing” programme graduates allow them to work successfully in such well-known Russian and foreign companies as Yandex, Kaspersky, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Danone, Adidas, etc.
According to recruitment agencies, specialists in product marketing, electronic marketing, trade marketing and marketing analysts occupy leading positions in the labour market, especially in large cities.


Educational Process

The programme consists of a core and a variable part, so that each student can participate in the development of an individual study plan, choosing the courses of the variable part based on his or her field of scientific and practical interest. The objectives of the programme are:
— satisfying the needs of corporate consumers in quality highly professional demanded personnel in the field of marketing in accordance with international professional and national standards;
— formation on the basis of systematic knowledge of specialist competencies necessary for successful professional activities in the field of marketing;
— training of specialists fluent in foreign language as a means of professional communication, modern computer technologies, capabilities of network information resources, knowing the basics of economics and management, striving to continuously improve their knowledge and keeping up with the dynamic development of science and technology;
— developing the skills of working in an international team with people of different linguistic and religious backgrounds;
— awareness of the social significance of professional activity and fostering a business and moral culture;
— formation of a harmoniously developed personality and training a specialist capable of being a leader, working in a team, acting and winning in a competitive environment;
— integration into the international educational space for effective solution of socio-economic problems;
— education of graduates on the basis of universal human values, education of outlook, erudition, understanding of social culture, aesthetic perception of the world, scientific thinking, communication skills, corporate ethics, the ability to debate and defend their own opinion, to understand the global trends of socio-economic development of society.
The curriculum of the programme includes a number of specialised practice-oriented courses, reflecting current trends in marketing, sales management and advertising, effective foreign practices and leading Russian experience. A number of specialist courses are taught in a foreign language. You will get a good language training at the university. Besides the courses studied at the Faculty of Economics, the Department of Marketing teaches “Pricing”, “Legal Regulation of Marketing Activities”, “Product Management”, “Marketing Research”, “Consumer Behaviour”, “Marketing Communications”, “Relationship and Partnership Marketing”, “Marketing in Branches and Fields”, “Quality Management”, “Branding”, “Marketing Project Management”, “Social and Ethical Marketing”, “Sales Management”, “Cross-Cultural Marketing”, “Strategic Marketing”.


Practice

The arrangement of internships is an essential part of the learning process. On a regular basis, the Department arranges industrial, introductory and pre-graduation internships for its students, the bases of which are the leading Russian and foreign companies in various fields of activity, which have large marketing departments, as well as government agencies. Career

The profession of a marketer has become one of the most demanded and highly paid jobs on the labour market today. A good marketer is a highly demanded specialist for a company that want to have competitive advantage.
Specialists with a degree in marketing are “bought” expensively (salaries range from 40 to 150 thousand roubles per month). In foreign companies, leading marketers with experience earn up to 20,000 dollars. As for the level of salaries of top managers and marketing directors, their remuneration range from 200 to 500 thousand roubles, depending on the scale of the company, the number of business lines, etc.
