Educational Process
The two-year Master’s degree programme is designed for in-depth training of law graduates and practicing lawyers from around the world in the field of private international law.
The programme allows students to specialize in areas not fully covered by their previous legal experience, expand their professional knowledge or conduct research in new areas of jurisprudence.
Disciplines: Introduction to Private International Law: Theoretical and Historical Aspect, Current Issues of Private International Law, Cross-Border Transactions: Legal and Practical Aspects, International Trade Law, Issues of Intellectual Property Protection in Private International Law, Regulation of Non-Contractual Obligations in Private International Law, International Commercial Arbitration and Other Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods, UN Vienna Convention on the International Sale of Goods and International Commercial Arbitration (Model Process), Law Applicable to Cross-Border Contractual Obligations, Legal Regulation of International Banking Transactions, Cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions, Issues of Hereditary Legal Relations in Private International Law, Regulation of Family Legal Relations in Private International Law etc.
Practice
Students have the opportunity to apply for two-month unpaid internship with law firms and corporate legal departments. The internship is 10 credits. The purpose of the internship is to provide students with the opportunity to develop their professional skills working in the legal environment of the Russian Federation and to apply knowledge gained during the training programme.
Career
The graduates receive profound specialized legal training and qualifications that allow them to work in multinational legal environment as in-house lawyers or consultants in arbitration and litigation.
