A professional business lawyer must understand accounting issues, intricacies of lease of premises, features of banking products and payment systems along with many other nuances.
Graduates of the programme are narrow specialised lawyers with competencies in the field of finance and business economics, which are not possessed by graduates of related specialties and similar programmes in other universities.
The programme provides a maximum of practical skills and a minimum of theory; it forms understanding of how the business sector is operating.
Training takes place using Blended Learning technology, which makes it possible to combine work and full-time study.
The programme is suitable not only for students with basic legal education, but also for non-lawyers. Accounting, finance, business economics, and management are an important part of training along with bankruptcy, protection of the rights of entrepreneurs and lease issues.

Educational Process

Education is based on two main forms: lectures and seminars. Lectures provide for mastering basic theoretical knowledge of the relevant course. A deeper and more detailed study of the discipline with case analysis is provided for in seminars. Besides, students actively participate in scientific conferences, seminars, and specialized case championships; they publish scientific articles and studies, organise and participate in specialised round tables.
The learning process involves advanced Blended Learning technologies (a combination of classroom activities and online learning), which allows full-time students to effectively combine work and studies.

Practice

The locations for the internship are selected taking into account the programme practical goal, students are supposed to be involved in the business process and its most complex practical aspects. The partnership of the programme with the Moscow Lawyers Association “Moscow Guild of Counsellors and Lawyers”, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region, the Russia Federal Tax Service for Moscow and other organizations will allow students to receive practical information about modern processes and conflict of laws features in the field of legal regulation of entrepreneurial activity. The internship involves the direct participation of master-students in the legal support of small and medium-sized businesses.
