Profession
A lawyer specialising in finance and corporate taxation is a profession that will change dramatically in the coming decades.
Paperwork will be taken over by digital technologies, while you will plan, manage risks, and accompany global foreign economic transactions.
In other words, this is a very popular profession at the junction of several areas at once: law, finance, and IT.
Educational Process
There are no standard entrance exams. We prefer an individual approach to standard solutions. We want to see your individuality rather than listen to memorized answers, so we hold a portfolio contest.
You may send your portfolio with projects, works, and achievements to the admission office explaining why you are interested in financial law and taxation. The holders of the best portfolios will be enrolled.
We are waiting not only for law faculty graduates, but for everyone who is interested. A special conversion course has been developed for those who do not have legal education.
Do you remember we said we are against standards? Here is another proof: our students form their own curriculum. You can choose one of the two fields of study either Budgetary law, treasury and financial control or Corporate taxation and international tax planning.
Both fields are based on unique author's courses developed specifically for RUDN University. Students are invited to analyse practical cases rather than learn by rote, to defend individual projects instead of taking exams.
Under the supervision of top-ranking specialists of legal and audit companies, students can study financial law in 3D format, with full immersion in specifics and details.
Roman E. Artyukhin, the head of the Federal Treasury, participates in the programme and teaches two original courses on budget law and financial control.
Practice
We understand how important it is for students to gain real experience before receiving a diploma. Therefore, we cooperate with the tax authorities, the Federal Treasury, the best law and audit companies. All of them are interested in young professionals. So after internship, you may get a job offer.
Career
The programme graduates can open the doors of the most seemingly impregnable institutions.
They are able to work at Federal departments and ministries, devote themselves to public service. They may go into private business, become tax lawyers in leading corporations, ambitious startups, IT companies and banks.
