Students in International Relations and Foreign Policy History (07.00.15) study history of international relations and foreign policy, patterns and features of the development of the modern IR system, main priorities of the foreign policy of various countries, including Russia, activities of various international, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, associations, socio-political movements, military blocs. Students get acquainted with a large amount of historical sources, including archival materials, treaties, agreements and other diplomatic documents, media materials, memoirs, and statistical data.

Graduates of the postgraduate programme are successfully employed in the central office of the Russian Foreign Ministry, foreign embassies and consulates, diplomatic institutions of a number of foreign states, international organizations, commercial firms, as well as research centres, universities in Russia and abroad.
