They also can give practical lessons to students of Bachelor and Master programs in higher educational institutions. As a rule, PhD specialists in philological sciences continue their research activity: they publish articles, participate in scientific seminars and conferences in Russia and abroad, publish original lecture courses, textbooks and monographs. The final stage of PhD studies in this profile consists of passing candidacy examinations and successful defense of the scientific qualifying paper (dissertation) in candidacy for a PhD degree in philological sciences.

The key disciplines are the following: “Languages of the foreign countries: (Germanic languages): general and individual tendencies in development of Germanic languages”, “History and philosophy of science”, “Foreign language”, “Pedagogy of Higher education”, “Methodology of scientific research”, “Information databases for scientific research and publication”.
Practical sessions are often conducted in the form of press conferences, webinars, business games, training discussions, practical research and experiments, round tables, decision-making games.
Practice
This PhD program is aimed at training higher education professionals, so all students undergo teaching practice, which is evenly distributed over the two years of studies. Postgraduate students conduct lectures and seminars on subject theoretical disciplines and give practical classes in foreign languages to target audience.
Practical training also includes elements of scientific research: postgraduates plan and carry out their research responsibilities of preparation of scientific publications and dissertations.
