Profession

Maxillofacial surgery is an extremely important and voluminous section of surgery that treats a huge number of pathologies and pathological conditions of the maxillofacial area. Maxillofacial surgery includes several sections and areas, including: surgical care for injuries and deformations of hard and soft tissues of the maxillofacial area, treatment of inflammatory diseases, tumors and tumor-like formations, as well as reconstructive and reconstructive surgery. A special direction of maxillofacial surgery is aesthetic and plastic surgery of the face.


Educational Process

Аlready in the first year there is an intensive immersion in the profession. Residents study a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic measures for the treatment of various pathologies of the maxillofacial region. They learn to conduct differential diagnostics and make treatment plans. From the first day, residents learn how to fill in the correct medical history, assist in operations and provide urgent care. During the conferences and seminars organized by the Department, the analysis of complex clinical cases is carried out, which contributes to the development of the resident's creative thinking. In the course of training, residents learn how to apply modern methods of treatment using the latest equipment and advanced technologies.


Practice

Develop their skills in simulation courses, residents are assigned to the maxillofacial departments of clinics in Moscow, where under the guidance of professors of the Department they have the opportunity not only to expand their knowledge, but also to see their application in practice.


Career

Graduates of the specialty program can be employed in dental clinics or multi-specialty centers, which will provide an opportunity to show their full potential, receive patients and deal with complex cases.
