About the Institute
The Institute of Clinical Medicine is an educational and research structural unit of RUDN Institute of Medicine. It includes:
- Department of Internal Diseases with Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics Course named after Academician V. S. Moiseev;
- the Scientific Center for Integrative and Translational Medicine;
- the Center for Interdisciplinary Clinical Problems;
- the Heart Failure Center;
- the Center for Fundamental and Clinical Nephrology;
- the Center for Non-Invasive Ultrasound and Hemodynamic Studies;
- the Clinical Research Laboratory.
The Institute of Clinical Medicine also has a Dissertation Council for Internal Diseases, Cardiology, and Clinical Pharmacology.
The institute of Clinical Medicine trains students in the specialties of General Medicine and Dentistry (2nd–4th year), residents in 7 specialties (Cardiology, Therapy, Rheumatology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Functional Diagnostics), and postgraduate and doctoral students in 3 specialties (Cardiology, Therapy, Nephrology). Additionally, it offers 6 advanced training programs in Cardiology, Therapy, Gastroenterology, Functional Diagnostics, Clinical Pharmacology, and Nephrology.
The strengths of the Institute of Clinical Medicine include its educational and scientific activities, involving students from the 2nd year in research, reflected in publication activity in Russian and international journals, and a high rate of dissertation defenses. Annually, more than 30 postgraduate students are enrolled, with a 90% defense success rate. A remarkable achievement of the institute is its tens of thousands of graduates, who are in demand across various medical fields worldwide and hold leadership positions.
The Institute of Clinical Medicine collaborates with over 30 Russian and international scientific and professional communities, as well as universities.
The institute’s staff includes 10 professors, 17 associate professors, 15 assistants, 6 research fellows, and 3 laboratory technicians, organized into 15 research groups covering more than 20 scientific areas.
