Energy and resource-saving processes in chemical technology, petrochemistry and biotechnology
Graduates of this engineering field of study are not just ecologists, but engineers, who develop effective solutions for resource and energy saving in specific technological processes already in on-the-job training. The programme is distinguished by a set of "engineering" disciplines: "Processes and devices of chemical technology", "Biotechnology", "Justification of the choice of the best available technologies", "Processing of waste with a high content of organic substances", etc. On-the-job training takes place at industrial facilities, in particular, at the Togliatti Waste Recycling Plant "Povtor". Engineering developments of students lay the basis for their graduate theses.
This field of study is implemented as a bachelor's degree programme of the Institute of Environmental Engineering. Students are offered to study the following specialist areas: "Resource-saving technologies and environmental protection", "Alternative energy", "Environmental problems of waste management and recycling", "Environmental management".
