About the Institute
The Institute of Pharmacy and Biotechnology is a subdivision of RUDN University, carrying out educational programs at the master's and postgraduate levels, as well as continuing professional education. It also conducts comprehensive research in developing and transferring innovative pharmaceutical technologies, assessing drug quality at all stages of the life cycle, and performing metabolomic studies of objects of various origins.
The institute includes several units:

- Training and production facility
- 5 laboratories
- Department of Continuing Professional Education
Within the institute’s training and production facility, which has a D-class cleanroom, meets GMP requirements, and holds a license from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for the manufacture of medicinal products, the production of pharmaceuticals is carried out. In addition, the accredited testing laboratory conducts quality control testing of medicinal products and pharmaceutical substances under the Federal Service for Accreditation.
To support the institute’s key activities, the educational, research, and expert laboratories are equipped with more than 300 units of modern analytical, testing, and technological equipment.
The institute employs over 60 staff members, including 4 Doctors of Science and 18 Candidates of Science, 2 Honored Workers of Science and Education of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, 1 Honored Inventor of the Russian Federation, and 1 World Health Organization (WHO) expert.
Students enrolled in educational programs receive a unique opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice within the institute’s own production facility, gaining practical skills essential for highly qualified professionals in pharmacy and biotechnology.
