The problem, to which this paper is devoted, apparently appeared for the first time in mathematical physics 125 years ago in the work of V. A. Steklov. The modern stage in her research began in 1977; in modern literature, especially foreign literature, this problem is called the Samarskii-Ionkin problem.

We consider the question of the existence of nonsmooth eigenfunctions of the Dirichlet problem for a differential-difference operator on the interval (0,d).

This report will tell about the way to solve the problem of localization of the primary signs of a brain stroke. The stages of data preprocessing, filtering, clustering are touched upon, methods for assessing damage are proposed.

We consider the problem posed by Gelfand on the asymptotics in time of the solution of the Cauchy problem for a first-order quasilinear equation with Riemann-type initial conditions.

We will talk about mathematical modeling of a number of medical problems: monitoring pressure and blood flow velocity during neurosurgical operations, the role of viscous dissipation energy in assessing the risk of aneurysm rupture, comparing various energy components of a hydroelastic system simulating a complex aneurysm. Some mathematical problems arising in vascular surgery will be formulated.
