About the event

Hitoshi Ishii, Professor at Waseda University, will visit the S.M. Nikol’skii Mathematical Institute with a series of lectures on partial differential equations.

14-21 April, 2019 the S.M. Nikol’skii Mathematical Institute will organize

a series of lectures by Professor Hitoshi Ishii (Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, QS-101-150).

Professor Ishii is an Invited Speaker at ICM (International Congress of Mathematicians at Madrid, Spain, August 2006) and a Plenary Speaker at ICIAM (6th International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics at Zurich, Switzerland, July 2007). He is a member of American Mathematical Society.

The scientific interests of  Professor  Ishii include the following areas: Nonlinear partial differential equations, viscosity solutions, optimal control, differential games, surface evolution.
