Lecture “Translation and Languages in the Light of Intercultural Communication”

Within the framework the interdepartmental academic and methodological seminar of the Commission for Foreign Languages of RUDN University organized by the Foreign Languages Department of the Agrarian and Technological Isnstitute of RUDN University, invited lector famous Russian simultaneous interpreter and polyglot Dmitry Petrov, Professor of KAZGUU School of Liberal Arts of the Kazakh State Law University (Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU), Kazakhstan) will speak on “Translation and Languages in the light of intercultural communication”.
The lecture will focus on current issues concerning general trends of translation pedagogy and practice, specificities of translator’s/interpreter’s training, modern approaches to foreign language teaching.
The lecture will convene the staff of the Foreign Languages Departments of the RUDN University, as well as scholars and researchers from the Department of Language Theory and Intercultural Communication of the Russian-Armenian University (RAU, Yerevan).
