Peoples’ friendship university of Russia and Elsevier invite to a lecture of Dr.Michiel Kolman, Elsevier Vice-President for interaction with global academic community and President of the International Publishers Association.

The lecture is dedicated to the concept of open access and open science as well as related illegal forms of content use. Dr.Kolman will tell how these tendencies affect individual researchers, research companies and science as a whole and what publishers do to avoid these negative tendencies.

Dr.Kolman holds a PhD in astrophysics from Columbian University and has been working in publishing for 25 years - in Elsevier in Amsterdam, Tokyo, Frankfurt and also in Wolters Kluwer. He is member of the Association of Publishers of the Netherlands and in 2017, became Head of the International Publishers Association (IPA).
