RUDN University is hosting the 2-nd annual Swahili Culture Day on 4th of April 2025.

Among the honored  guests of the event there are high-ranking representatives of the diplomatic corps of such African countries as the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Uganda, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The scientific track incorporates the reports to be delivered by distinguished researchers in the field of African Studies, including historical, legal, linguistic  angles.

 The cultural track features creative performances prepared by students and schoolers who learn  Swahili at Moscow universities and schools. Their teachers  of Swahili will introduce their learners.

The event also includes a series of cultural exhibitions from RUDN students representing African countries.

The annual Swahili Culture Days are organized at RUDN University as part of expanding Russian - African partnership activities. This annual event  aims to foster multicultural competence of youngsters, to enhance a multilingual environment at RUDN University, and  to promote the Swahili-Russian translation and interpreting qualification course that has been implemented  by  the RUDN rector’s decision since 2024-2025 academic year.
