Workshop "Iran and Afghanistan: Global and Regional Aspects of International Relations"
On October 26, 2021 at 18:00 the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the RUDN University and the media outlet “Russia Viewer” (Tehran, Iran) present a workshop for the students of English and Persian languages of the RUDN University “Iran and Afghanistan: Global and Regional Aspects of International Relations”.
18:00 — 19:00 — the workshop devoted to the work of news and analytical media outlet, the role of foreign language in the operation of the website, as well as employment opportunities. The Speaker: PhD (in Political Science), Dr. Vakhshiteh Ahmad Nasser, the editor-in-chief and the director of the media outlet “Russia Viewer” (Tehran, Iran), expert on international politics on BBC channels and the leading Iranian media.
The working languages are the Persian language and the English language.

The purpose of the event: The media outlet “Russia Viewer” (Tehran, Iran), which involves leading political analysts, experts and journalists is aimed at explaining, discussing and analyzing issues related to global and regional aspects of Russian foreign policy, relying on Russian and English-language sources to draw together the views of Iranian and Russian elites, to expand bilateral contacts, economic, political and cultural cooperation at bilateral, regional and international levels between the two countries. The Persian and English languages will be working languages of the workshop.
The tasks of the workshop:
- to analyze the global and regional aspects of international relations in South-West Asia, to examine the activities of the media outlet “Russia Viewer” (Tehran, Iran), to discuss the role of foreign language in the work of the news agency.
- to inform RUDN students about job opportunities for RUDN University graduates in news and analytical agencies as well as about the prospects of use of foreign languages for their further employment.
