RUDN University student activists took a trip to Kursk on November, 8-11 within the framework of the project “Memory Train – Kursk”. Students from 23 counties participated in the trip. They visited the memorial “In memory of the fallen in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, the Museum of young defenders of the Motherland, the memorial complex “Krasnaya Duga”, the Hall of Military glory in the village of Yakovlevo, Prokhorovskoye tank field – the third Russian battlefield, the first two being Kulikovo field and Borodino field, where on July,12 of 1943 the biggest tank battle of the contemporary history took place. The students of RUDN University met with the Great Patriotic War veterans for whom they organized a memorable concert at which they recited poetry, sang national and war songs and danced.

RUDN University entered the top-30 "greenest" universities in the world according to GreenMetric 2021 ranking

RUDN has risen to the 28th position in the international ranking of environmentally friendly universities UI GreenMetric 2021 remaining the “greenest” university in Russia. This is the best result in the history of the university’s ranking participation since 2011. The list of the “greenest” universities was published on December 14. There are 956 universities from 80 countries, including 54 universities from Russia. The goal of the UI GreenMetric — assess universities according to campus development ecological sustainability and the energy-saving model of university management.
