Cooperation with Chinese universities. RUDN University participates in the creation of the Union of journalistic education of Chinese and Russian HEIs
The creation of the Union was announced in July at Chinese People’s University at the Forum of humanitarian and social sciences 2016: Journalistic education and mass media development in China and Russia.
The creation of the Union was announced in July at Chinese People’s University at the Forum of humanitarian and social sciences 2016: Journalistic education and mass media development in China and Russia. At the Forum RUDN University Philological faculty representatives agreed to strengthen cooperation in research and academic exchange with a number of Chinese universities.
“Talking about journalism we have agreed to organize student and professors’ academic exchange and joint publications. We are planning to start work this year”, said Victor Barabash, Dean of the Philological faculty.
Professor Barabash noted that research themes include very challenging topics like “Forming media images of Russia and China in global and national mass media”, “Research of media market of SCO states”, “Info security of Russia and China”, etc.
“The Union of journalistic education of Chinese and Russian HEIs” was timed to the Years of Chinese-Russian mass media exchange (2016-2017). The project forms a platform for communication and cooperation, info exchange on media education and research. It helps establish close links between universities. The Years of mass media exchange are strategically important for China and Russia in the fields of journalism, culture and international agenda. The Union already comprises dozens of HEIs of Russia and China.
The new list of federal innovation sites (FIS) of the Russian Federation includes 30 new organizations. Among them is the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. This became possible thanks to the development of the Digital Preparatory Faculty of RUDN University.
RUDN rose to the 26th position in the UI GreenMetric 2022 ranking and confirmed the status of the “greenest” university in Russia. The ranking includes 1,050 world universities, of which 52 are Russian.
Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia is represented in all 16 subject rankings and in five out of six subject profiles of the Expert Analytical Center ranking. RUDN University showed the best results in the following areas: “Ecology” and “Agriculture and Biological Sciences” — 1st place. “Mathematics”, “Chemistry”, “Artificial Intelligence”, “Renewable Energy” are in the TOP — 5 subject ranking. In total, 152 universities were ranked in 2022 (137 in 2021).
