Cooperation with SAR universities. RUDN University enhances efficiency of bilateral cooperation with SAR universities

August 16 – 22, in the frame of academic excellence program RUDN delegation headed by Larisa Efremova, Vice-Rector for international academic mobility went to SAR on a business trip. Strategic tasks of the visit – developing RUDN cooperation in the sphere of research in the BRICS space, elaborating joint educational programs and activating inter-university partnership with SAR universities. In the course of the meetings with the administration of three leading universities of SAR- University of the Witwatersrand, Pretoria University and Central University of Technology inBloemfontein the parties reached a number of agreements.
The key spheres of cooperation with the University of the Witwatersrand are medicine, engineering, nuclear and space research as well as social-humanitarian.
RUDN University is planning to implement educational programs in medicine and agriculture with Pretoria University and do academic exchange.
Pharmaceutics and biotechnologies, agrarian and engineering sciences are the fields of cooperation with Central University of Technology inBloemfontein.
RUDN University is going to do joint research in agrobiotechnology, veterinary and medicine with one of the largest universities of the state- Free State University (more than 40 thousand students).
RUDN University also met the minister of Health care of Free State province where Mr.Magashule confirmed his decision to send more than 120 young people to study at RUDN.
Another important topic was providing sites for medical and agricultural internship to SAR students studying at RUDN and search for potential employers for RUDN graduates.
The parties signed a number of documents on activating and further development of cooperation in the frame of BRICS Network University and enhancing efficiency of bilateral cooperation between RUDN and SAR universities.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
