RUDN University participates in setting up Russian – French University
The Russian – French University aims to develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education, science, research and innovations.
The Russian – French University aims to develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education, science, research and innovations. Among thekey tasks:
- Promoting students’ academic mobility;
- Elaborating joint network educational programs including Bachelor, Master, Postgraduate and continuing education double diploma programs;
- Developing join tresearch;
- Realization of innovation programs to enhance higher education quality including in the sphere of foreign languages study.
The network form of realizing educational programs is based on inter-university cooperation and lets students study the chosen fields using resources of the network consortium participants.
The Russian – French University today comprises eight universities of Russia and France: Peoples’ friendship university of Russia, Russian Academy of economy and state service under the RF President, All-Russia Academy of foreign trade, MIFI National esearch nuclear institute, Sophia Antipolis University of Nice and three French business schools - EDHEC, NEOMA and SKEMA.
The joint programs are elaborated and realized with RUDN faculties of economics, faculty of humanitarian and social sciences, faculty of science and the Institute of law.
RUDN Rector academician Vladimir Filippov is elected to the Rectors Board of the Russian-French University. Director of RUDN Department of scientific and educational cooperation Olga Andreeva is member of the Secretariat.

December 28, RUDN University Rector Oleg Yastrebov and QS World Merit Head of Partnerships Zoya Zaitseva signed an agreement on large-scale cooperation in achieving 17 sustainable development goals identified by the UN.
In a year, RUDN University rose from 43 to 31 place in the international QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe & Central Asia 2022. Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia showed the best results in international scientific relations, academic reputation and employer reputation categories.
RUDN has risen to the 28th position in the international ranking of environmentally friendly universities UI GreenMetric 2021 remaining the “greenest” university in Russia. This is the best result in the history of the university’s ranking participation since 2011. The list of the “greenest” universities was published on December 14. There are 956 universities from 80 countries, including 54 universities from Russia. The goal of the UI GreenMetric — assess universities according to campus development ecological sustainability and the energy-saving model of university management.
