III International Scientific interdisciplinary conference “Functional aspects of cross-cultural communication and translation problems”

The purpose of the event - to reflect the diversity of the functional aspects of intercultural communication in the context of integration of the world into a single educational process and problems of formation of discursive social competence in the process of professional and language training of translators.

Traditionally, the international forum brings together scientists and practitioners involved in cross-cultural communication, translation, linguistics, management and advertizing, pedagogy, psychology, sociolinguistics, development of modern educational processes and business communications in various areas of activity from Europe, CIS, Latin America, Africa and Asia.

The academic forum of 2016 year is held under The Year Of Languages and Literature of Russia and Great Britain.

Seven sections of the conference are devoted to the following themes:

Intercultural communication as a global problem of the modern world;

Coordination of functional approaches of intercultural communication with problems of interpretation;

Intercultural communication as a factor of educational activity;

The importance of intercultural element of linguistic persona in social and cultural reality;

Hypertextuality and discursive method as one of the linguistic aspects of intercultural communication;

Formation of discursive sociocultural competence during the process of linguistic professional training;

Integrative approach in the process of teaching foreign languages as a step of formation of universal educational system.

International scientific meeting is a joint project of RUDN IFL and its partner, the Catholic University of Lille (France). This year's conference is sponsored by the Institute of World Literature named after Maxim Gorky, Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Education Development Strategy of the Russian Academy of Education.
