General Secretary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization visits RUDN University

October 2, 2013, Dmitry Mezentsev, General Secretary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization visited RUDN University. During the meeting with Rector Filippov who is also Chairman of SCO University they discussed potential directions of SCOU development, short-term plans for SCOU expansion and the work of SCOU international rectors office, which has been located in RUDN University since 2011. SCOU unites 70 universities and trains students from 5 countries in 7 lines of study. RUDN University is represented by the Engineering faculty (Nanotechnologies), Faculty of Science (IT), Ecological faculty (Ecology). Faculty of Humanitarian and Social Sciences (Regional studies) and Philological faculty (Psychology). RUDN University is the coordinating university in the last three directions. In May 2013, agreements on Master’s programs were signed and in summer students were enrolled from universities-partners.
