August 8-12, RUDN University hosted I International scientific conference of secondary school students “Lift to the Future” for talented children from 18 countries. The conference was organized by “Sistema” charity foundation and Chemistry Lyceum 1303 with the support of the Ministry of education and science of the RF and the Agency of strategic initiatives on promoting new projects. In 2014, the conference was held in the frame of the project of “Sistema” holding on searching and supporting talented youth. Hi-tech enterprises of the holding had a series of meetings with school students and demonstrated the efficiency of close cooperation of science and branch enterprises. The conference featured “Technologies of the Future” exhibition, “Prospects of using stem cells in medicine”, “Industrial robots”, “Information-telecommunication technologies as the key drive of progress”, “Effective nature management”, and “Green revolution- power saving and alternative power sources” plenary sessions. 150 school students from 30 countries presented their works in key scientific and technical directions.

In a year, RUDN University rose from 43 to 31 place in the international QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe & Central Asia 2022. Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia showed the best results in international scientific relations, academic reputation and employer reputation categories.

RUDN University entered the top-30 "greenest" universities in the world according to GreenMetric 2021 ranking

RUDN has risen to the 28th position in the international ranking of environmentally friendly universities UI GreenMetric 2021 remaining the “greenest” university in Russia. This is the best result in the history of the university’s ranking participation since 2011. The list of the “greenest” universities was published on December 14. There are 956 universities from 80 countries, including 54 universities from Russia. The goal of the UI GreenMetric — assess universities according to campus development ecological sustainability and the energy-saving model of university management.
