International conference “Religion against terrorism” in RUDN
“Religion against terrorism” conference took place in RUDN in the frame of the initiatives of RF and Kazakhstan leaders V.Putin and N.Nazarbayev. The main organizers- Peoples’ friendship university of Russia wit the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, RF President’s administration, RF Federal meeting Federation Council, RF MFA and other organizations.

Governmental officials, researchers, experts and clerical leaders of Russia, Europe, Asia and Africa discussed global threats of terrorism and countermeasures. RUDN graduate and postgraduate students from 60 countries of the world and representatives of more than 100 international students associations also participated.
The aim of the conference was to elaborate general recommendations for a new security paradigm based on effective dialogue of clerical and political leaders to meet the challenges of the globalizing world where terrorism is one of the most dangerous and show that dialogue and recognition of cultural potential of religious values might be a good alternative to terrorism ideology.
The conference was addressed by President of the Russian Federation V.Putin, President of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
The new list of federal innovation sites (FIS) of the Russian Federation includes 30 new organizations. Among them is the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. This became possible thanks to the development of the Digital Preparatory Faculty of RUDN University.
RUDN rose to the 26th position in the UI GreenMetric 2022 ranking and confirmed the status of the “greenest” university in Russia. The ranking includes 1,050 world universities, of which 52 are Russian.
Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia is represented in all 16 subject rankings and in five out of six subject profiles of the Expert Analytical Center ranking. RUDN University showed the best results in the following areas: “Ecology” and “Agriculture and Biological Sciences” — 1st place. “Mathematics”, “Chemistry”, “Artificial Intelligence”, “Renewable Energy” are in the TOP — 5 subject ranking. In total, 152 universities were ranked in 2022 (137 in 2021).
