Meeting with Giulietto Chiesa

The meeting with the Italian political scientist and journalist Giulietto Chiesa "The future of democracy. What is instead of catastrophe? " September 17, an open meeting with the Italian political scientist and journalist Giulietto Chiesa "The future of democracy. What is instead of catastrophe? " was held by the Center of Historic Expertise and State Forecasting RUDN University in the conference hall of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The meeting was organized under the auspices of the project "Russia tomorrow", and the support of information and analytical portal GosIndeks. About 400 people, among them - students, teachers and guests of RUDN University came to listen to the famous social activist and former deputy of the European Parliament. The meeting was preceded by a conversation of Mr. Chiesa with V.M. Filippov, RUDN University Rector, N.S. Kirabaevym, vice-rector for scientific work and V.A. Tsvyk, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The meeting was held in the warm atmosphere, and the rector hoped that it was not the last visit of Mr. Chiesa to RUDN University. The Director of the Centre of Expertise and the State Historical Forecasting, the Head of the Department of General History, the Doctor of History S.A. Voronin introduced the honored guest to the people who, gathered in the conference hall. In his speech he announced the imminent publication of a new book by Mr. Chiesa "Russophobia 2.0". Socializing with the students and guests of RUDN University, Mr. Chiesa covered the most burning issues of today's agenda: Migrants in Europe, the war in Syria, Western sanctions against Russia. Based on the title of the meeting, Chiesa postulated the building of a new world democracy, based on the end of its old liberal model. Mr. Chiesa was satisfied with the warm reception and communication with the students and guests of RUDN University, praised the level of the questions, and expressed his willingness to visit the University again.
