Nano capillary bio sensors – unique instrument for studying living cells». Lecture of Yury Korchev, professor of London Imperial College at RUDN
21 March, Yury Korchev, professor of London Imperial College and a prominent expert in the field of cellular biophysics delivers a lecture «Nano capillary bio sensors – unique instrument for studying living cells».
Modern technologies allow obtaining super tiny size capillaries - nano capillaries to be used in new methods of materials studies, in particular biomaterials studies. Nano capillaries are used in the creation of nano sensors to control delivery of substance near or inside the cell, they are also used in electrophysiology and other fields of science and technology.
Yury Korchnev suggested using nano capillaries as a universal probe to do functional nanoscale surface mapping.
The event is carried out in the frame of «5-100» project with the assistance of RUDN Board of young scientists.
When: 2.00 pm
Where: 10/3, Miklukho-Maklaya Str., Faculty of Russian Language and General Educational Disciplines, Hall 349.
