Space is getting closer

RUDN Institute of Space Technologies not only elaborates world-class scientific products and prepares qualified scientific and managerial personnel for Russian Federation high-tech industry, but also successfully performs foreign economic and expert activities.

For mutual enrichment with theoretical and practical knowledge, RUDN Institute of Space Technologies actively cooperates with industrial enterprises, both in scientific and educational spheres.

In cooperation with RUDN partners, three laboratories have been created:

•         Satellite information processing laboratory;

•         Satellite design systems laboratory in cooperation with JSC "Russian Space Systems";

•         Modern space technologies design laboratory in cooperation with FSUE NGO Tekhnomash.

In January 2017, Vladimir Filippov,  Rector of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and Dmitry Panov, General Director of FSUE NGO Tekhnomash, signed an agreement on creating a new basic department "Technological Management in IST".

For many years, partner companies - Roscosmos, Rostec, FSUE NGO Tekhnomash, JSC RKS, URSC, FSUE CRImash - cooperate with RUDN IST by training their specialists in the light of new tasks, which the Russian economy faces in the field of import substitution and creation of highly competitive products for science-intensive industries.

Cooperation with Roscosmos enterprises led to the creation of RUDN training Mission Control Center and demonstration complex of RUDN-RSS, as well as the International Marketing Center, which is now actively developing.

Undoubtedly, the success of RUDN IST is largely dependent on its head - Alexander Chursin, a talented organizer and international specialist, who turned 75 years old on March 11, 2017.
