President of the Sri Lankan Association of Soviet Universities’ Alumni visits RUDN University

President of the Sri Lankan Association of Soviet Universities’ Alumni visited the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia July 14, 2015 Mr. Kottege Hemanta - President of the Sri Lankan Association of Soviet Universities’ Alumni visited RUDN University. Mr. Hemanta graduated from the RUDN University Engineering Faculty in "Mechanical Engineering" in 1982. Today he is a businessman, an owner of a construction company in Sri Lanka. Over several years Mr. Hemanta has been leading the Sri Lankan Alumni Association, in 2014 he was re-elected for a second term. Under his leadership, the Association is actively working, developing, regularly holding events on the basis of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Colombo. During his visit to his Alma Mater Mr. Kottege Hemanta met with the RUDN University vice-rector for student affairs – Alexander Gladush. During the meeting they discussed the issues and prospects of cooperation between RUDN University and the Sri Lankan Association. Particular attention was paid to the issues of organization of training programs for graduates, as well as the study of the Russian language.
