Roskosmos and RUDN University sign an agreement

November 21. Roskosmos and RUDN University signed an agreement, according to which the University will continue training specialists for the space sector. The head of Roskosmos Oleg Ostapenko announced during his speech in RUDN University that the foundation of primary department in RUDN University will allow to train 26 specialists in the space sector in 2013. The head of Roskosmos mentioned that the space field is now on the threshold of serious structural changes that call for an open discussion with the scientists. During the three years since the foundation 14 specialists, 12 masters and 2 PhDs have graduated from the department of RUDN University. This year the specialists in two new fields will graduate from the department. The result is very significant and it’s important to keep doing it. “RUDN University is also ready to organize the teaching of any foreign languages for the Russian astronauts, be it English or Chinese, in our department”, - said the rector, the Russian Academy of Education academician V. Filippov.
