October 30, 2013, rector of Peoples` Friendship University of Russia, professor Vladimir Filippov, was elected member of the Russian Academy of Education Presidium Russian Academy of Education (RAE) is a state academy of sciences, which embodies scientists working in the field of education and pedagogy. RAE is the successor of the RSFSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, established in 1943, and has been headed by Nikolay Nikandrov since 1997. 278 Academicians and Corresponding Members comprise the Academy, 34 of whom are in the Presidium. April 27, 2001, V. Filippov, who is member of Department of Vocational Education, got elected as Academician of the Russian Academy of Education.
