February 18-19, the Russian Center for science and culture in Hanoi hosted the finals of the IX Olympiad on the Russian language for secondary school students studying Russian. More than400 people had participated in the first round.

At the finals Anna Novikova (RUDN University) checked three skills- listening, reading and speaking. The jury comprised Russian language experts, experts from the Russian Center in Hanoi, President of the Vietnamese Association of Russian language and literature teachers and Russian language teachers of the RF Embassy school.
The winners of the Olympiad will have a chance to go study at RUDN at the expense of the RF quotas.
RUDN delegation met Russian language teachers to tell them about educational programs and enrollment procedure and visited the Ministry of education to discuss Master’s studies for Vietnamese Bachelor graduates. A meeting with the authorities of specialized Russian language schools is also on the agenda of the visit.
Student Russian language Olympiad is planned on February 25-25 and an Olympiad on mathematics – in March.
The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) again has the name of Patrice Lumumba, the first Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who has become a symbol of the African peoples’ struggle for independence. This was announced on Thursday by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The new list of federal innovation sites (FIS) of the Russian Federation includes 30 new organizations. Among them is the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. This became possible thanks to the development of the Digital Preparatory Faculty of RUDN University.
RUDN rose to the 26th position in the UI GreenMetric 2022 ranking and confirmed the status of the “greenest” university in Russia. The ranking includes 1,050 world universities, of which 52 are Russian.
